A very interesting article about the effects of fear and our ability to respond. The article is written with a law enforcement perspective in mind and talks about reflexes and the effect of your heart rate as it relates to your ability to think and act. In sudden violence your heart rate will raise rapidly in tenths of a second. The author recommends slow practice and gross motor skill movements as well as visualization-exactly what we try to model in Injury Dynamics training.
